We believe in making insurer claim-related services easy and transparent. We invite you to take a look below at some of our most frequently asked questions to learn more about how our services work.

1. What is ClaimsRoom?

  • At ClaimsRoom, we are an entity that provides a wide range of insurance-related services for our clients. We work with our clients from the start to the end of the claims process, offering insight and information to help the claims process along.

2. What is an appraisal and why would I need one?

  • You may need an appraisal if you and your insurance company don't agree on the extent of damage to your property. You both pick an appraiser, and the appraisers choose a neutral third party to form the panel. All parties sit down and come to an agreement on the extent of the damage and the amount of an insurance payout.

3. What is an umpire?

  • The umpire is the neutral third party that makes up the last seat on the appraisal panel. They help mediate the meeting and help both parties come to an agreement. If two out of three parties agree, it's a binding agreement.

4. How many steps are in the appraisal process?

  • At ClaimsRoom, we utilize a five-step appraisal process.

    • Step One - Choose the appraiser

    • Step Two - Request the appraisal

    • Step Three - Exchange any and all documents

    • Step Four - Appraisal inspection process
    • Step Five - Conclusion and award

5. Does ClaimsRoom offer construction management?

  • Yes! We offer comprehensive construction management. We have a long history of partnering with skilled and reputable contractors who can help you accomplish your goals. We contract directly with the contractor, which means you won't incur any additional fees on our behalf.

6. What is a Xactimate estimate?

  • When you approach us with your paperwork stating the scope of the interior or exterior damage to your home, we'll provide you with our Xactimate estimate. The Xactimate estimate is our estimate of the repair costs. We get it by going through line items and coded repairs to give you a detailed and accurate estimate.

7. What are a few services ClaimsRoom offers?

  • We offer comprehensive insurance solutions for our clients. This could be helping our clients come to an agreement in an insurer/insuree dispute by doing a damage appraisal, price negotiations for construction management services, or giving repair estimates.

8. How much experience does ClaimsRoom have?

  • When it comes to matters like insurance and insurer claims, it's good to know that you're working with a company with experience. ClaimsRoom brings over 17 years of industry experience to each client we help. We also excel at dealing with complex cases.

9. What if I don't have a large budget?

  • No matter if you have a large or small budget at your disposal, we can work with you. We'll work to provide tailored solutions that match not only your budget, but your lifestyle as well. It's not about making money for us, it's about helping our clients come to an acceptable solution during a stressful time.

10. Can ClaimsRoom help with Like/Kind and Quality/Matching?

  • Yes! Our appraisal panel can potentially help with like/kind or quality/matching services. This process helps to guard against what companies call spot repairs. We'll work to help match your siding or shingles so you get a neat and cohesive finished product.
